Description
This is meant to be the layout for my upcoming website ColourVenue.com. Enjoy.Ideas? Suggestions? The reason the small previews to the left of the box is placed like that to show you how it would look like if the whole box was filled.. yeah.. whatever.
I do not know when it will open.. will take a lot of time.

umm one thing ( issue on background and the width) , have you ever tried it on different display resolution? i dont know your target audiences, but i guess its save to say that most ppl would use 800x600 for the standard (well i guess its okay to say that 1024x768 is widely used). so how about checking those resolutions and see what you could do about it

I think now adays most people have 1024 x 768 resolution.. and I'm not sure if I'll use this one anyway so.. XD hehe, it's not the best I can do.

i like the design of the content, however the clock on the top left just doesn't feel right.

nice looking design initially, here's some suggestions:
there are no clues as to what you do or sell, it just says portfolio and shop, so you could be doing anything from custom workbenches to nipple piercing, and the only way someone will know is if they have the patience to browse further..
the time in the top left is totally not needed.
the photo in the background is nice but you are wasting a huge amount of screen space, considering you can only view one news post at a time.
i count six different fonts in this... again, i suggest you simplify your design, so that people can clearly associate a type of content with a style. (the font in the menu is not appropriate btw )
keep your page titles consistent with the titles in the menu, currently if you click on 'Home', it will take you to this page which is titled 'Index', choose one and stick with it.
