Description
For the Archeo shop on gaia. Also because I like to do graphic japanese-esque things.Who was murasaki? She was a heian courtier who wrote the famous (and very awesome) Tale of Genji. No one knows her real name....I'm not certain if there's any descriptions of what she lookls like. I was referencing the style of The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter with this piece.

"Murasaki" was the name of one of her characters, yes, but I don't believe this pic is referring to the character--but to the woman who wrote it, whose name is unknown, but who was given the nickname "Murasaki" after her famous character.
It's rather confusing though, neh?
