The climate of the two temperaments seems out of balance to me. Perhaps that's a realistic touch, since most of our relationships are pretty uneven. The writer of the verse seems resigned to a pre-ordained, second-rate status, whereby they feed off the energy of the other person, but feel guilty and unworthy at the same time.

It makes me wonder how many illusions are in play, and where they might lead. It doesn't seem very fruitful at the moment.

The feelings are very well expressed, though, and you have a real knack for irony, that's for damn sure.

I'm glad you think I have a knack for irony, because I really enjoy it.

Yeah, you're right. I hadn't even noticed until you just said, but the character is really rather second-place, and seems to be okay with that. It's rather interesting.

I like how even though I've written this myself, you can still point things out to me that I didn't even intend. Thank you

Oh, well, I really think that's how we learn from each other about our own works, especially in writing. We never seem to know how our writing will be comprehended by another person, until we get some thoughtful feedback.
