Tatsuki was first-born to the prestigious Nomura family. Being so, she was told from the instant she could speak that she was to be a rich lady someday. The lady part, especially, seemed important.

Leading a sheltered life, she had almost no interaction with her mother and father, whose lust for money made them forever working, far away from home. Tatsuki was taught, in the meantime, Japanese arts. Anything from traditional dancing to fighting.

Her sister was born, soon, which made her happy. Her younger sibling was absolutely adorable. And, since neither were allowed to go outside the mansion, they became the best of friends.

She was allowed to go to a public school, as long as she didn't become friends with any of the other students. Tatsuki, although feeling bad about it, became accustomed to being a bully. Finally, after a long time, she was forced into being friends with a certain blond-haired girl, and a certain blue-haired boy.

Tatsuki went to junior high, perfectly happy. Kyousuke moved in, and she became happier... until Misaki stopped paying attention to her. And then Hiroto stopped being her friend, as well. Tatsuki was, very suddenly, alone again.

To make matters worse, on her thirteenth birthday, Tatsuki began meeting suitors. Her life was completely planned out for her from that point on. Depression smacked her right in the face... and confusion. Not a single suitor appealed to her at all. Some were very kind and handsome, as well... which forced the young teenager to question her sexuality, being that she had never felt anything for any boy, other than friendship.

Years went by without Tatsuki really noticing, since every day felt absolutely the same. One day, however, she managed to escape her house and found Hiroto, sitting in an alley. She spoke with him for a while before going home, thinking she would never see him again...

Until she found out Kyousuke had been killed by someone else. Until the next day when Hiroto was still at school and would talk with her. Until Misaki would smile and be friends with her again.

Things were better... but it still didn't answer one of her questions. Was she straight, or was she gay?

Her question was very suddenly answered when a boy named Tamaki Kaminaga moved in. It was like everything fell into place. It was like she found heaven on earth. It was like someone had slammed a hammer into her head. It was absolutely perfect... even if he was a pervert.

However, soon she realized that there was no way they could ever get married, since she was destined to marry some rich, unknown man. So, out of fear of getting her heart shattered, she refused to be with him. No matter how much she loved him, she couldn't hurt herself, or him.
