I am learning graphic design at the moment. But I have been designing since 2004, got my work permit in 2008, but with out the proper schooling I cant work as a graphic designer. And you?

Not even close, i'm just some guy who loves drawing but I am thinking about graphic design for college, but right now I'm still plowing through HS

Ok, well, if you want to do it, then go for it. It´s a fun job most of the time and if your good then the paycheck isnt all that bad

Ya, my only problem with it is the freelance aspect. But i'm sure that their are solid jobs in that field.

how I did it at first was to go to concerts and photograph bands and give them my business card and offered them a free promo photo shoot and for a little fee I offered to do posters for the and cover art if they were going to release an album. That got me started and got my name out there. Just be creative and dont ever hesitate if you get an idea that sounds good in your head
