This is my friend, Nikola Tesla. He was born in the small town of Smiljan in Kroatia 1856. Without him I would probably not have all the cool electrical gadgets that I have around me today. Sadly the world seems to have forgotten about him and all the wonderful things he did to try and better our lifes, such as discovering alternating current or AC He was a true visionary, selfless to a fault and ultimately it was his downfall, despite all the patents he held for his inventions, he died, alone, broke and forgotten to the world, while his adversary and much lesser human being, Tomas Edison, claimed all the glory, fame and fortune.So next time when you turn on your computer, TV, or almost every electrical gadget you can think off, think kindly to my friend Tesla and give him the recognition that he deserves.

One of the greatest thinker and humanitarian of all times. He invented things intended to better the lifes of everybody and not to enrich the few and satisfy theyre lust for greed.
Sadly, this was his downfall, and that says more about the world we choose to live in, than it says about him.

glory, fame and success seems to come to those who can beat theyre chest and make the most noise and most often they build theyre success on the labor of those that have true talent and vision but lack the greed and attention seeking of the others

Yes, in reality most fame people just copy... The talented people create, while the lazy, uncreative fame, so called "genius" people only steal... Yeah, mankind sucks!

well, I dont think that mankind sucks, I have great hope for humanity
But yes, most of what ends up being popular is a copy of something that has already been done and the problem with world today is that people are encouraged to copy and fallow the same path, instead of being creative and go theyre own way.

I think it's just the crappy, "loud" parts of mankind which makes mankind appear sick at some times...
And yes you are right... Most people are used to copy, don't do their own... Surely originality is nowadays something difficult...
Most of the time original and new things are not really liked because they aren't popular...

he was a unique visionary, the world would be a different place if his ideas and philosophy had come out on top, but as with many other great visionarys he was born way ahead of his time and the world wasnt ready for him.
