Description This game had such an amazing fascinating world... and everything was so story & cinematic oriented... while remembering it's world i actually stumbled upon a vid showing just animations of how you could die... might sound weird or sadistic... but in fact it contributed to my immersion in a big way. Sure, it was a lot of trial and error that I probably wouldn't accept these days... but in it's defense that was the norm back then and at least with each attempt I would understand more of the dangers of the world... from the ordinary of a misstep and drop or drown to the spectacular of a bite of a tiny crawling worm, the attack of the beast u see in the photo, the tentacles... everything was made in such a way that u were forced to play what I still find to be a mindblowingly scripted movie. Huge respects for it's author who pretty much single handedly created everything... that man truly had the vision of a director even in those days... oh and now, many years later only i see in his rudimentary graphics many of the principles i'm just learning from the master concept artists of the game & movie industry.

Nice work! To me, the trial and error you talk about helps highlight how fragile and out-of-place Lester is in the alien world. You get to witness just how close he comes to death in a way that a book or film couldn't show.

I'm currently researching for an article I'm writing on the way that players have experienced or been inspired by Another World. Would you (or anybody else) be interested in answering some questions?
