So I was talking to one of my gemstone guys and explaining what I do, and so I got a little deal to try these out and see how they work. Possibly for a very limited time, I'm experimenting with pure precious metal flake in the mixtures.

This is my first piece ever using 24K gold flake. I was warned that there might be problems removing the gold flake from the bottle as it is so thin it could possibly evaporate when it dries out. So, for the first one, I didn't muck around much. This vial is NOT filled with oil, it is filled with the same substance the gold was packaged in - which seems to be a type of alcohol. Because of this, I did not want to include any plant parts in this vial.

The first thing I think of, though, when I see that gleaming 24K gold is the sun. So this is a sun themed vial. I paired the gold flake with Jelly Fire Opal for prosperity, power and creativity; and the Gold itself for good luck, good fortune and joy.

This vial is finished in Brass wire, sealed with a glued-in cork and hung on a sliding, brown cotton cord.
