man, those eyes are ominous yet surprisingly expressive, nicely done, love the way the giant sort of dissapears into the snowstorm, gives the effect of being so big weather affects your vision like with mountains!

Yes, the Fenris/Fenrir Wolf is from Norse mythology, destined to bring the ragnarok(apocalypse). In the legend it says that the wolf is big enough to devour the world.

I don't know the entire story, but as far as I remember, Fenris/Fenrir is kind of a demonic wolf in Nordic mythology. It's supposed to break free in the end of the world or something...
