It's nice to see her portrayed in a less-than-cutesy way. Come on, this is a vaguely-human-looking form of an ancient Japanese monster that spread disease and bad luck + went around eating people! More macabre pictures!
Love the fashionable armwarmers. She'd probably get a bit chilly on those winter nights, lounging around after a meal or something, so armwarmers seem about right for her!

Yeah, esp when considering what pretty much every touhou character species originally is... not as cute as you might expect! Good thing there are lots of badass touhou pics on pixiv, cuz I enjoy them as well.
And yeah, they'd certainly come in handy in such situations!
