Okay so I put the book of death into the book shelf and heard the clicking noise (The case with the fake butterfly in it opening I think) and on the way out there's this skull thing and then I died. I cannot get past the skull thing.

well, that one is a bit tricky to juke, you have to go back to the shelf and circle it in a way it won't catch you, then get out of the room
