Nhila becomes the Personification of Death whenever she weaves her magic or simply by taking a life whether through magic or not. This is not anything special to say in the sense that whenever ANYONE destroys life they also become the "Personification of Death". You might only gain some insight into Necromancy by recognizing that Necromancy is an esoteric field of magical study that focuses on Death. But not only Death but also Life. This is the uncomfortable truth behind any type of resurrection magic. In order to resurrect something you are using Necromancy but if in the use of your Necromancy you have altruistic intent then you find these "Benevolent Resurrections". Resurrection spells are usually hastily categorized with "Light" magic. Even the term "Light Magic" is a misnomer used by people who are ignorant to the esoteric arts of the Gnostics.

In Nhila's case she uses this ability to raise the dead for extremely selfish purposes usually to enslave and enthrall the risen. This is why Necromancy has its negative connotation. Usually a person deemed to be a Necromancer is a person who isn't interested in bringing back a life form to it's original autonomy and state of being.
