I think I just gave Ice King a little bit of character depth...I wonder about some of the most random things sometimes. Like why Ice King and Marceline haven't been in any episodes together yet (they haven't right?) Or why Ice King never tries turning his mad flirting skills on Marci. OMG I LOVE THIS XDD That's really true though, he never does go after Marceline. Even though she's technically the closest age to him (Once you reach 1000 it doesn't matter anymore xD) he never tries to flirt with her. Well, he DIDN'T anyways, until the "Of course I like you! ... Not like that!!!" Maybe it's just because he had respect for her as an artist :/ who knows ^3^

There are theories that Gunter is a replacement of marceline. The Ice King referred to little marcy as gunter. So its possible that in even in the ice king's madness, some aspects of Simon remain.
