It's unbelievable how Octavia, although her appearance in the show is so brief, can make such impact on the audience, including me! XD And who can resist to a elegant, talented and gorgeous pony like her?

Octavia was one of those ponies that, when I started to think about how to make her, I worried about her hair. How to make that bang, was the "mane" question. I wanted to make her mane dark grey, but I couldn't find hair in that color, so I had to make it black. And I was lucky to find a very shiny and good quality nylon hair. Then I had to deal with the bang. I tried first to shape the bang to get Octavia's hairdo. But it wasn't the right way. I considered to use the same material I used to Berry's mane, because is easy to style, but it wasn't shiny enough and I was mesmerized with the shiny nylon hair I first tried. Soon I realized that the bang was so important to Octavia's hairdo that it had its own life... dum dum duummmm So I decide to make it separated from the rest of the mane. And that's how Equestria was made.

I'm sorry I don't have any cello in hand for her. But in the other hand, I'm glad I remembered her bowtie in time (Yes, I was concentrating so much on her bang that I almost forgot her bowtie >_<) I really like her, even with all the challenges her mane presented me, or because it had more challenges than I was expecting. I really like the character, so it was very pleasant to make this plushie.
