Description I made this to submit to the fan art contest on the Darth Artsy Live Journal Community for the 30th anniversary of A New Hope.

I so wanted to be Princess Leia when I was a little kid. She got to fight right along with the guys, helps to rescue her rescuers, and winds up with Han Solo in the end. Not a bad deal at all.

This started out on watercolor paper with brown pencil and ink washes and was then digitally colored in Photoshop with my tablet. Completed in January of 2007.

I loved Leia also as a kid and wanted to be her - she's my archtype for my favorite heroines
