Hello friends,

Baldurs Gate is slowly taking over my life, but hey I’m not complaining it’s really good. And so I really wanted to draw something from Baldurs Gate while also trying something new with the perspective.

Listening to the Baldurs Gate soundtrack is also really relaxing, it has some great songs and one of them in particular is the reason for this art piece. You see the song is called „I want to live“ and I believe it’s about Astarion and Cazador but it could also very well be about The MC and Astarion. But I decided to go with the first one for this.

After all the s*** Astarion had to go through because of Cazador, who literally took his life away and on top of that, treated him like literal garbage, he really deserves a Happy Ending and to be genuinely Loved by someone.

But now to the Cazador topic, my gears had been turning and a thought crept itself trough my head, like I can very well imagine that Cazador used Astarion and some of his other Vampire Spawns as personal punching backs when he had a really bad day. Like he was known for terrorizing his Spawns for the littlest of things. For example when Astarion tells us, that once he was suppose to bring a young boy/man to Cazador but just couldn’t bring himself to do so, he was severely punished for an entire year! Like what else did Cazador do to Astarion and his siblings/brethren.

Not gonna lie I really wanna see an animated series or something that dives into the various characters of Baldurs Gate 3 or something, that would be pretty cool, a bit like the Vox Machina animated series. ( Btw I also added the butterfly here because of its symbolism, wich are freedom, transformation, rebirth and hope)
