I feel like All for One is too calm to be in the Red Lantern Corps. He never really gets angry and that's what's so unsettling about him. You feel he has this great sense of control that he doesn't even feel the need to get angry.
He never puts down his subordinates and accepts their failures so long as they learn something from them.
I think if anything All for One would be better suited for the Sinestro Corps or perhaps even be the holder of the Orange lantern given his greed for power.
