it's finally finished! i did this over a long period of time but........... i recon it took me aroud 8 hours. i didn't real fix the right hand very well, but i'm working on the whole "being able to draw hands" also, i don't know why but the guitar dosen't look right. i've never drawn one before, so i'm not sure what to do. if you have any tips i will listen(read) to everything you say(write). thank you.p.s. done in mechanical 0.5 lead.

wow! what an amazing pic of him! It looks like if someone just took a photo and put on the 'black and white' effect on it. did you only use one pencil for the whole pic? the range of tones is amazing!

it looks great! there's only a couple of things about the guitar, and i hope you don't take me to sound rude, being a guitarist myself.
the whole body is a tich too narrow, the neck narrows just a bit too much toward his left hand and the bowl may be too deep- or it's just me.

dude that awesome! but the guitar...its supposed to be a resonator! YOu shouldve drawn it as a resonator! XD I have a resonator, so thats why I say that. lol. but you did really good on the acoustic guitar that you replaced it with anyway. Guitars are evil to draw, arent they? lol

yeah. i started to draw it, but i got lazy and wanted to finish it so i cheated and changed it. i do that a lot.

ohhh cheaterrrr! lol oh well. ive tried drawing resonators and theyre much harder than regular acoustic or electric guitars to draw cuz you have to make the metal rim look all reflective and shiny and stuff. lol but i think you did an awesome job, even if its not a resonator. ^_^

Wow; that's really impressive! What hardness of lead did you use? Great use of value ranges; I really like the darkness of some of the shadows, as they show a very definite light source. The hands look pretty good, I'd say, and that type of foreshortening isn't easy! My only critique would be to lighten the guitar a little (since you asked), as there's usually some sort of varnish on the wood, making it rather shiny. Beautiful, beautiful job overall; that's some gorgeous detail in the folds of the cloth.

thanks! i use hb for thw whole thing. i drew this before i found out all the different desities and mediums, so i just used a mecalpencil and my fingers hehe. i need to work on drawing guitars. not to good at objects. draw to many people and line work.

I have acting talent, but eveything else I do usually turns out half ass. Except for photography... I like photography.. I just need a camera. I'm pretty good at art... I'm taking a class in september, when i get back to school... along with a drama class.... should be a fun year. I still really like this drawing, Its like you caught something thats Johnny Depp, other than appearance.

drama is cool, and photography.......... well for 3 years i've tried to get just a normal camara (my mum stole my last one so she can have a webcam. it was crap anyway). and your art... don't really know why you don't think your that talented in it. it not half ass, i think it's great. i've just been pushed all my life in it, my mum is a professional artist so it in the family. sometimes you just need to be pushed, and i'm greatful.

Well, I dont know why I'm so into the arts. My mom doodles... my grandfather was a very good painter though.. but I dont think anyone else in my family has ever been into acting.
