Description
  On the dreadful Halloween of 1932, Blinky found himself trapped within the rickety walls of a haunted mansion. One who’s guests… actually seem pretty nice. However, Blinky isn’t easily convinced. So he just keeps running for his dear life trying to escape.

  This cartoon was actually the debut of Skerry the Skeleton, a character that appeared mostly exclusively in Blinky’s Halloween/horror related cartoons. However, he was originally known as “A. Skeleton.” at this point for the sake of a pun, as shown in the frame above. Blinky hears a knocking at a Dutch door, dreadfully asks “Who’s there?” and Skerry would appear saying “Aaaaaaaaa. Skeleton!” with a lift of his hat and a card.

  Later cartoons would have his name changed to “Skerry”, which was originally intended for a spider character. However, Jackson would then realize that it worked much better as a skeleton’s name and had the character’s name changed as such. 🎞️🎃💀
