It may be taken on record that we, as men and women born mortal in this world, saw fit to take everything we could rest our eyes on for our own. When there was nothing left to take in this world, no enemies left to slay, we sought out, in our hubris, to make mortal the gods of old themselves to prove our ultimate dominance.

We gave them vessels to take for their own, and forced them by eldritch combinations of mechanica, science, and arcana to inhabit these shells. Any man giving the idea a second thought could have seen the punishment we were set to unleash upon ourselves, but the desire for power overcame the need for reason.

We owe the world as it is today to that fateful decision… the decision to bring the gods amongst us so they could be subjugated by the might and ingenuity of man. A foolish goal, in hindsight.

Did this for this week’s in my debut match. The challenge was to draw Anubis, with pretty much no further requirements than that. Honestly, I’m not sure how the whole gender-bending thing will work out on this one because I’m not sure how specific the adherence to the subject matter is, but I think she turned out pretty well.

Why I decided to give her steampunk-esque armor and a motorcycle, I don’t even know. I don’t usually draw vehicles, though, so it was a nice change!
