Description
It was many years ago what I first met Emily Silverlight, she was so little, so young, and still a little runt as well, but those were the days when she was still human, and I was still traveling around, looking for Dark Shards, along with finding pages of my memories, and keeping the world in balance.

Being a god of death, I'm always informed on certain events, mostly deaths, I came upon a forest as I was traveling, and there was a little girl playing out here, when she saw my, I could tell something seemed strange about her, but she also said the same about me, I spent the entire day with her, it made her happy, from what I learned about her from staying the day in the near by Inn, was that there were a lot of people who feared her, saying things about her, now I understood why she was happy what I spent the day playing with her.

I spent the last 2 weeks in that village, and things were a little rough for me, the villagers saw that I had a sword with me, they though I could be a mercenary, I guess I was, more like a traveling swordsman. They kept telling me that I was going to be cursed for staying near Little Emily, and that she should be run out of town, some even want as far as paying me to end her life, but I didn't instead, I spent the days playing with her, and it seemed the make her happy, even if some people weren't.

Soon after the people started branding me as the devil just for being near her, sure, that sort of was true, but it never bothered me all that much, and I though, seeing the dark times we that were coming, I though I could be the light in the darkness for her. Just before I left the village, Emily came running to me, asking me to come back someday, and I told her I would, and as I was far away from the place, I checked to see what her time would come to an end, I was shocked to say that it was coming to be a couple of years, she would be around her 20s to 30s or so, either way, I would have to be there...

A couple of years has passed, and there was a war going on, I was one of the knights fighting, along of bloodshed was spilled, I made a name for myself on the battle field as the Inferno Knight because a lot of people saw how I would run into the inferno and charge into battle, with my clothes stained with blood, and arrows sticking out from my back, my men knew that I didn't fear death, and that death was with my, even my enemies knew that there death was coming, and I knew it to be true.

That day was just around the corner, and I had to make my leave, but the captain had other plains, and he needed everyman on the battle field, but I told him that I had to deal with important matters to attend to, but he wouldn't listen, so I took my leave, and was branded a Deserter, and because of that, soon news of me was keeping me from reaching Emily in time. I made it a few days late, but I knew I was too late, all I could find at the scene was a pool of dried blood. But I stayed for a bit, the least I could do was pay my respects to her, but there was no grave marker, so I made a prayer to her, and as I took my leave, some of the people recognized me, and were shocked to see that I haven't aged a day, and that was the last time any one of that village ever saw me again.

But unknown to me what that Emily was very still alive, and by the time I encountered her again, all memories of her had already faded from my mind, and I guess the same could be said for her as well...

This was along of fun to drawing up this fan-art for a friend, along with writing the back story behind this story as well, and was a little tough to also find a drawing of Emily as a little girl as well, what gave me the idea and inspiration to make this drawing was from watching Season of the Witch. And it also reminded me of the RP I did with Emily as a Kid as well, and what that, I was able to come up with this awesome drawing as well
