Description "Something isn't right."

Lets now take a look at this animated Justice League film where the main trinity of Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman unite together to liberate a gladiator world; Justice League: Warworld.

This is the sixth film in the Tomorrowverse.

In the Wild West town of Last Stand, a female gunslinger enters a standoff between the townsfolk, led by Bat Lash, and bandits led by Jonah Hex. Hex explains the town is populated by gold miners, ranch and farm owners who were supposed to pay "protection interest" to Hex and his men, but they took back and barricaded the bank that had their money.
He asks for her help to bring order, but she sides with the townsfolk and saves a little girl from Hex's men and Lash from a wagon loaded with dynamite. Hex calls her a "Wonder" and the townsfolk call her an "Angel."
On Skartaris, the Warlord Travis Morgan takes a mercenary sent by his archenemy, the wizard Deimos, as a slave to work in the mines, but the mercenary offers to take Warlord and his army to Deimos's castle in exchange for freedom and gold.
While traveling, the army is attacked by several monsters, and the mercenary struggles with unfamiliar knowledge and memories.
In the castle, after evading several death traps, the mercenary finds a throne room full of treasure with a slave woman shackled to the throne.
The mercenary, the Warlord, and the slave woman – who finds a golden lasso – battle Deimos until he flees.
In the 1950s town of Grovers Mill, federal agents Clark Kent and King Faraday investigate reports of a crashed UFO. They go to a diner to meet with state trooper Bruce Wayne, Diana Prince, and other witnesses.
Kent, Wayne, and Prince hear eerie music which no one else can hear. All the diner’s patrons are revealed to be White Martians who pursue Kent, Wayne, and Prince to the crashed UFO. Inside, they find a Green Martian, who a hysterical Faraday insists they kill.
After Kent subdues Faraday, the room transforms, and they realize that the world around them was an illusion except for them, Faraday, and the Martian, whom they deduce is a prisoner and free.
The Martian introduces himself as J’onn J’onzz, and he reveals to the three who they really are and that the four of them had been taken captive by a Zeta-beam teleporter, with J'onzz’s psychic abilities being harnessed to project illusions on the artificial planet Warworld, which is powered by the violence and fear of its prisoners.
Now it's up to the four of them to take down the villain responsible for their imprisonment, and bring down Warworld.

The story is a bit of a mess as while it is cool to see different versions and takes on the main trinity, and the stories themselves are interesting while also giving some attention to some pretty obscure DC characters, when it gets back to the real world in Battleworld, that's where things start to fall apart as not only does the movie poorly utilize the anthology format, but the main plot itself isn't really that interesting. And on top of that, there's not really that much in terms of drama or heart, and the humor is especially lacking. But at least the action scenes are pretty solid, and there is a lot of that. But honestly, the movie would've had a better plot if it went with a more direct Warworld adaptation, and save the different stories and have them be DC Showcase shorts.
The action scenes are pretty solid as they can be pretty awesome, but they can also get pretty intense such as "Angel" beating up the thugs in the saloon, her rescuing the young girl while taking on some more thugs, the battle at the fortress, Angel and Lash's battle against Hex and his men while derailing the train full of explosives, the Mercenary's battle against Warlord, Warlord and his men taking on several beasts, the Mercenary's battle against Deimos with some help from Warlord and the slave woman, Clark, Bruce, and Diana escaping from the White Martians, the heroes fighting off Lobo, and the final battle where out heroes, plus Lobo, battle Mongul while figuring out how to destroy Warworld.
The drama is there with all the different turmoils our heroes go through in their scenarios, but the issue with it is that it's not really that interesting mainly because the movie tends to mainly put all it's focus on the action.
The animation is pretty solid as it does still have the nice art style that was present in the other "Tomorrowverse" films such as the characters and creatures all having some pretty solid designs along with some nice movements, the backgrounds are well drawn and do have some nice colors and details, and there are some pretty solid effects.
The characters themselves are a mixed bag as there are some that are likable and a bit interesting like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Martian Manhunter, as well as their respective alternate selves in the other worlds, and a few of the other characters like Bat Lash, Warlord, and Faraday,  everyone else in the movie isn't really that interesting. Even the villains like Mongul, Jonah Hex (which by the way, i'm not a fan of Hex being a villain since he's usually more on an anti-hero), Deimos, Lobo, and the White Martians are uninteresting.
The voice acting is pretty well done as it does lead to some pretty solid performances such as Jensen Ackles as Batman and the Mercenary, Darren Criss as Superman, Stana Katic as Wonder Woman, Angel, and the unnamed Slave Woman, Ike Amadi as Manhunter, Troy Baker as Jonah Hex, Brett Dalton as Bat Lash, Teddy Sears as Warlord, John DiMaggio as Lobo, Robin Atkin Downes as Mongul, and more.
The music is decently well done as the score is well composed and does capture the movie's action-packed and intense tone.

Overall, this is a pretty sloppy film that tries to be one thing, but then turns into another with little substance. Not a terrible movie, but it is among DC's weaker animated movies. Let's just hope that the upcoming "Crisis on Infinite Earths", which is set to be a three-part story, is much better and sends the Tomorrowverse off on a high note.
