Description "You're not my weakness. You're my strength."

Lets now take a look at DC's latest animated series, and it features the Man of Steel having plenty of superheroic adventures and battles alongside his fellow reporters/friends at the Daily Planet; My Adventures with Superman.

The series follows Clark Kent as he builds his secret identity as Superman and explores his mysterious origins, and Lois Lane, whom Clark develops a crush on and vice-versa, who is on her way to becoming a star reporter.
Teaming up with photographer and Clark's best friend Jimmy Olsen, the trio break the stories that matter and save the day against many villains in the city of Metropolis.

The writing for this series is pretty solid as even though there are a few issues like the pacing being a little too quick, some odd character depictions, and a few groaner moments like the brief divide between Clark and Lois after an argument, the plot overall is well written as it is very interesting with how it depicts a new and unique take on Superman's origins and early years while also giving him an interesting history. Also, it's nice to see a series where Lois and Jimmy are more directly involved with Superman and his escapades which allows them to have some very solid chemistry. And while there are a few head-scratching character depictions in this series, many of them are decently well handled and are neat new versions of these iconic characters. And on top of that, the action's a lot of fun and can get pretty intense, the humor is decently funny, and there is s a good amount of heart and charm to it.
The action scenes in the series are very solid as they can be bot a lot of fun as well as pretty intense and suspenseful such as Superman, Lois, and Jimmy taking on the many villains of Metropolis, them escaping from life or death situations and getting out of tight jams, and Superman just overall saving people from danger.
The humor in this series is mostly pretty solid as even though there is a weak or lame joke every now and then, a good chunk of the humor does hit and does result in some decent laughs such as the witty banter and dialogue between the characters, some of the gags and snarky remarks, and the occasional adult joke.
The drama in this series is also well handled as while there are some lame parts to it like Clark and Lois arguing regarding his identity and secrets, the way their relationship forms before and after is pretty solid and does result in some heartfelt moments even if things can still be rocky. The drama is also shown with some of the twists and turns the series has. The series also has some nice charm to it mainly due to the chemistry between the three leads.
The animation is very well done as the series does have a nice anime-looking style to it, which isn't too surprising considering that the animation provider of this series was Studio Mir, and they did the animation for other anime-inspired shows like "The Legend of Korra", "Voltron: Legendary Defender", "Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts", and "Skull Island", and this does help give the series it's own unique look to help it stand out from other animated DC shows such as the characters all having some very well drawn designs along with some pretty fluid movements, the backgrounds and settings are well drawn and do have some nice colors and details, and there are some pretty solid effects.
The characters are all pretty good as they can be very likable and do have some nice chemistry, dynamics, and development such as Clark/Superman who is a very kindhearted person as well as a brave hero, and it is nice to have a series where he's just starting out and his powers are starting to grow. And it's also nice that he's a more human and relatable Superman than most other recent incarnations. Then there's Lois who just as snarky and headstrong as other incarnations, only here she's just starting out at the Daily Planet and while she can be very brash and make some pretty dumb choices, she does have a good and caring heart, and does become more understanding. And as for Jimmy, he is likably spunky, geeky, and energetic, and is very caring and loyal toward Clark and Lois.
As for any of the side characters, they're not as interesting or funny as the main characters, but they do have a bit of solid character to them such as Martha and Jonathan who are very caring and supportive of Clark, Perry who's just as cranky and short-tempered as other versions, and General Lane who does have some interesting development here. But everyone else is either completely uninteresting or very unlikable like Steve, Cat, and Vicki.
As for the villains, there are a great amount of them who can be pretty solid and do prove that they can be very menacing and threatening such as Livewire, Intergang which this version consists of Silver Banshee, Mist, and Rough House, Parasite, Mr. Mxyzptlk, Heat Wave, Slade, and Amanda Waller. And it is kinda neat to have a Superman series that doesn't go for the more well known Superman villains like Lex, Brainiac, Zod, or Metallo right away unlike a lot of the other Superman shows. More than likely those villains will show up in later seasons as will other characters like Supergirl, Darkseid, and Bizarro.
The voice acting is very well done and does result in plenty of very solid performances such as Jack Quaid as Superman, Alice Lee as Lois, Ishmel Sahid as Jimmy, Darrel Brown as Perry, Kari Wahlgren as Martha, Reid Scott as Jonathan, Joel de la Fuente as General Lane, Zehra Fazal as Livewire, Chris Parness as Slade, Debra Wilson as Amanda, Catherine Taber as Silver Banshee, Jake Green as Parasite, and more.
The music is very solid as the score is pretty well composed and really does manage to capture the show's action-packed, comedic, lighthearted, charming, and intriguing tone.

Overall, this series may have it's faults, but it is a lot of fun and very charming. And while "Young Justice" and "Harley Quinn" are among DC's best animated shows, those shows are more aimed at older audiences, while this may be DC's best animated series aimed at all ages since probably "Green Lantern". So i do rank this an among DC's best animated shows. I'm looking forward to see where this show goes from here.
