"Jumper"

This is a request from *Ai-Rin that I took the liberty of applying a lot of artistic license to.
*Ai-Rin pretty much let me decide on everything from pose, feel, color, expression...so doing this request was LOTS of fun. I especially liked working on this side profile, the pool of blood and the hands...which are challenging spots for me.

When I asked her to describe her OC, Aki, Ai-Ren described part of her OC's back story as jumping off of a building to commit suicide. Aki, however, ends up in a coma instead, and her spirit wanders for three years before she finally dies.

This digital piece (done on Photoshop Elements and an Wacom Intuios 3) is my rendition of Aki's spirit waking up just before leaving her body. Ai-Ren describes Aki as quite the tom-boy, so she's wearing elements of a male school uniform. I was aiming for a dazed, elegant expression in contrast with the reds of her blood seeping into her hair. I really enjoyed learning about your OC, Ai-Ren, and I hope you like this piece! I really hope you guys like it too!
