Description A picture I intially did for my Humanities class [yes, another one] and finished after the class was over.

The subject if Keiko Follsein, one of the main characters from Hiram-Easton-Saime's novel, Pheonix October. Vandanite is a mineral of unknown abilities [at least to me ^_~]. The picture really doesn't have much of a basis in the story, I just kind of went wild with the idea of her character. The sword's name is Ivebellis, by the way. Advanced Critique Encouraged!

Looks like Neoclassicism to me. But I don't really know how to classify art...

Whatever it is, I like it. Of course.

This was suppossed to be somewhat Renaissance-ish [can't remember the name], and I have another that's suppossed to be Classical [Keiko and her 'mother']. Then again, since it's basically manga style, it's rather difficult to get too much into either of those eras' ways of painting, which is another difference. I have a want to use paint sometime, it's just never really hit me as being an immediate thing.

You could always blend styles... that seems more promising, really.

You'd need to ask Hiram for that one, though I'm going with android, since I'm pretty sure she was never 'born' to a human mother in her second form. Androids, if I remember correctly, are human-shaped robots, while cyborgs are humans with cybernetic implants or attachments. Her first form was probably neither, though I'm not sure what you'd call that besides a pureblood Valkyrie, which would make her a human.

A tad bit of critique, the file size is to big. Why is there ice??? coming out of the left hand? WHY ISNT IT COLOURED!!! LOL

File size is too big? How is that? I mean, there's a reason it's called 'Full-view' I think...and that's the size I like my scans at. If you want to see it larger or smaller, do it yourself, I say. I know I've done it several times, so just use that handy little program, MSPaint, to resize them. Not hard at all.

The ice is a sort of manifestation of her soul in the form of vandanite, which I believe is a mineral of some sort with a transparent red color. This also happens to be what her wings are made of, but I left them cleaner than the crystals because if I were to color it, I'd rather the color show the structure of them than actual structural lines.

Why it isn't colored...I'm a lethal combination of lazy, miserly, a procastinator, easily-diverted, and busy. Also, I don't like my colored pencils and am hoping to get a set of Prismacolors, preferably for Christmas [get a bunch of money from relatives and the like, you know?].
