In One Piece, in this "Coliseo", there is a max amount of weight for fighting, so men's armours also cover nothing LOL

How that actually protects her is anyone's guess. Is she only vulnerable to attacks aimed at her breasts or something?

Like in the fighting techniques of the bronze age where armor was very rare , you are supposed to cover your vital spots behind your guard stance with your weapon and shield . The only spot you cant cover is the shins , that's why in Greek and Roman culture was mandatory to wears shin protection whenever is possible , same as bracelets for the forearms .
Many warriors preferred to wear like that for battle due the lack of movility and high weight of the armors of that time . Also they dressed very little because the textile had a low breathability and increased the fatigue factor.
Of course they were too warriors that choosed protection over movility and autonomy , it was up to the warrior or the army itself what tactic they choosed but both proved to be equally effective.
Some examples i1.ifrm.com/2279/116/upload/p3… , i.imgur.com/1qHMNwM.jpg , s006.radikal.ru/i215/1204/df/7… .

That's true, but I still believe it's more practical to have a mix of mobility and protection. It's especially vital to me since the smartest thing to do in the combat of yore was to tire out your opponent's shield arm and land a decisive strike (since it's not commonly known, at least as far as almost every TV, film and video game fight has gone, that the clash of blade upon blade is a fantastic way to chip the edge of your weapon and can severely damage it if done enough).
That said, it's clear your knowledge of the subject is quite vast, and I respect the lengths you have gone to provide me with such useful information. Thank you for all you have imparted.

It is true , middle armor is more effective than No-armor or Heavy armor. The No-armor policy was more related to the lack of Mass-production capability of most archaic cultures , Armor was only affordable for rich people and in the armies reserved for Elite units .
The attire of the Roman empire legionaries was the perfect balance between protection, movility and autonomy , with good refrigeration on armits and crotch and segmented armor on torso and shoulders it is a good example of something you can wear for long periods and having Decent protection.

Yes, that's the armour I tend to think of when I consider that time period, but it's clear there would be differences. It makes sense to focus on defences which are easier to manufacture, and gladiators usually didn't have large amounts of armour if I recall correctly.
