This is the first time I'm actually doing this meme!

I guess it's called the "improvement meme", but I feel this is more an example of my lack of consistency and how much I changed my style and what mediums I used over the years. I didn't even get access to digital art until midway through my time in college, and now that's mostly how I create my art. Yet, based on other improvement memes I see a lot of people here on deviantart got access to digital art like by middle school! I didn't even get my own computer til college, much less digital art supplies! But I digress.

I'm not sure how accurate a lot of these are. I have a bad habit of not dating my artwork, and I didn't always post a lot of my artwork to deviantart in the order that they were created or until way after I had created it, especially early on. So I had to make some educated guesses based on memory and my descriptions of said artwork. I'm especially unsure of the 2010 batch of pictures, because I really didn't do a lot of artwork that year outside of my high school art class, and I never documented that artwork on deviantart (and I don't currently have access to that art).

I think this meme is the first time I've revealed my age on this site. So now you get to see how old I am. Note that my birthday is at the beginning of the year (January 5th), so there's only one "age" for each year.

Overall, I'm really happy with doing this meme. It was kind of nostalgic to go back through my gallery and see all the stuff I did over the years. I'm not sure if I feel like I've drastically "improved" or not, but I certainly feel accomplished with all of the work I put into my art. I feel very at home on deviantart and in its encouraging atmosphere and community, and have been extremely thankful for all of the support over the years. So thanks to you all who have watched me, or favorited one of my pieces, or left a comment or helpful feedback. It's been really appreciated. I look forward to making more artwork in the future!
