I posted the "Hey, Let's make an OC" meme both here and on facebook to get some responses and to have a fun little character design challenge.

Here is my deviantart post if you are curious .

The basic idea was to get a different aspect of the character based on the order of comments, with each comment given by a different person.

This is the character that came from my friends on Facebook.

The comments were as follows:

Species: OH! First! Therefore I'll grant you a choice....Gungan (as in Jar-Jar Binx) or Ogre (as in Shrek). If you can't choose, then just go with Gungan.

Gender: Gender: nonbinary, female-presenting

Clothes: A mix of a salwar kameez and kimono

Name: Schkroll the Legally Distinct Ogre

Hair: Hair? ? I'm taking this opportunity to give the character a mullet. specifically a bright neon purple mullet.

Accsessories: A long bejeweled cape

Personality: Self-absorbed and aggressively vegan

One random fact: They like to sniff strangers socks; in secret

I've got some very weird friends, haha.

This was very fun and challenging. I went with Ogre instead of Gungan, partially because I really didn't want to draw a Gungan, partially because another friend commented that the character was an Ogre, and partially because I had recently watched "Shrek" and the image was in my head. I feel rather happy with the clothing design mixture. I've been to both India and Japan, so mixing those clothing styles was fun, and I liked having been able to make the scarves that usually go with salwar kameez's into a long bejeweled cape as another friend requested. I love that our Ogre is "aggressively" vegan, haha. The line about cooking with only specific ingredients was borrowed from an online dig against vegans. I, personally, have no qualms against veganism, but "aggressively" vegan was a fun personality trait to add, haha. And, no, I have no idea what "legally distinct" means.
