I get why so many people dont like the new tmnt but I love it. I also love the new ducktales. I cant wait for the new episodes

I like the chance they took with the new tmnt. Having them be four different turtles, Raph being the leader even April. I am for it because its a multiverse so there would be thousands where Raph or Donnie or Mikey could be leader and I am for that

I so agree! It's really refreshing to have a completely new take on the turtles and the world! I love the yokai touch as well!

I was just referring to the inclusion of yokai creatures in the show and the general Japanese mythological aesthetic. "Yokai " are Japanese ghosts/ghouls/monsters in classical Japanese mythology. For example, Big Mama is basically a Japanese spider-monster known as a "jorogumo ". It works because they are ninjas, and therefore practitioners of a Japanese martial art form. Other instances of TMNT have shown some parts of their Japanese origins (for example the 2012 version had some episodes that featured these Japanese monsters), but never to the extent that ROTTMNT does.
