Dewey Duck from "Ducktales (2017)" and Leonardo from "Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" both have the same voice actor, and the fact that they both are the "blue" one among their brothers, and have practically the same personality, kinds just feels right and makes me inexplicably happy. Well done, Ben Schwartz. Well done.
(Josh Brener as both Mark Beaks and Donatello from said shows, is also a fun coincidence since they're both self-serving, tech-y assholes, but it's not enough to make me want to do fanart of them)

I like the chance they took with the new tmnt. Having them be four different turtles, Raph being the leader even April. I am for it because its a multiverse so there would be thousands where Raph or Donnie or Mikey could be leader and I am for that

I was just referring to the inclusion of yokai creatures in the show and the general Japanese mythological aesthetic. "Yokai " are Japanese ghosts/ghouls/monsters in classical Japanese mythology. For example, Big Mama is basically a Japanese spider-monster known as a "jorogumo ". It works because they are ninjas, and therefore practitioners of a Japanese martial art form. Other instances of TMNT have shown some parts of their Japanese origins (for example the 2012 version had some episodes that featured these Japanese monsters), but never to the extent that ROTTMNT does.
