Description This is Luke Fon Fabre who is the main character from the video game "Tales of the Abyss" which I've been playing a lot of lately. It's a really great rpg and I'm really loving every minute of it so far. Since not many people play it I've been doing a few pieces of fan art for it just to spread the word of this awesome but neglected rpg.
I drew this using Prismacolor pencils and a black Prismacolor marker for the outlining. I know I exaggerated the lenght of Luke's hair a bit but I just wanted to make him look really cool.
Tales of the Abyss is available for the Playstation 2. If you are a fan of the "Tales" series or games similar to titles like the Star Ocean series or Radiata Stories I'm sure you'll love this game as much as me.

I think the hair fine, though I personally prefer his short haired version, like on the front of the game...
The only thing that actually is bugging me is his eyes look blue, you know they're green right?
Other than that, Great job! Glad to see others spreading the word!

Yeah, I forgot about the eye color when I was making this and then it was too late when I did realize my mistake... I didn't want him to have short hair in my picture though because that long flowing anime hair that defies all the laws of gravity is soooo much fun to draw! I'm glad you enjoyed my drawing at least.

Thank you! I put a lot of effort into this drawing so it makes me happy to see that it's finally getting some attention. I was sorta experimenting with my new set of Prismacolor pencils for this drawing, the hair was the most fun part to work on.

The hair color kind-of reminds me somewhat of the ending, which is what makes it extra-cool; I won't say any more, though, lest you get spoiled. *swt*

But! For under-appreciated Tales of the Abyss artists, I recommend ~talesoftheabyss . You can join&upload your art there, and a ton of Abyss fans will see it.

Thanks and I haven't beaten the game yet so I give you an extra big thanks for not spoiling it. I'm really looking forward to finishing it, I'm just trying to take my time with the game and enjoy every little thing it has to offer. I just might go and join that club you mentioned too, it sounds fun.

Ah, no problem. : ) I kind-of rushed the ending and eventually went back for most of the sidequests, but I definitely would have enjoyed it more if I had done them first - not only to, well, build the excitement, but some sidequests make the ending easier to understand. : ) So I applaud you for having patience!

Hehehe, well I'm a pretty big rpg nerd and I like to really get wrapped up in the beautiful storyline and mysterious worlds. So it's more like being sidetracked by awesomeness rather than having patience.

I resently discovered the awesomeness of Prismacolor Pencils, that's what I used to mix the cool colors in his hair. I'm glad you like the picture!
