*brightness+contrast+colours (the blue tones) all serve the concept .. emitting a feeling of desertness and waiting..
(as it always is in departures /contrary to the arrivals which most times are crowded)
*++++the cropping.. your choice of leaving a part of the ceileng and not cropping tighter e.g. gives an enormous amount of depth,
leading viewer's eye beyond this room... <<< certain

Travellers mood is great, but one thing I hate most is waiting - sooo I can not like airports :mad:
but the pic is really good! cool colours relally fit the scenery, symetrical composition suggests that everything is the same out there... and the fog outside - no comment

Love the straight lines in this picture... the light from the outside totally suits this kind of grey mood.
It's funny the prespective that you've gave to this picture: an empty, lonely place... it could be full of life, with people running not to be late or waving goodbye... but I think the one you've choosen it's far far more interesting

Yes, the place was totally lonely. The train station had no people at all (and it's usualy like that) cause it was a small town train station.
