Description It's been some time that I've thought about doing some fan art. Looking around, I was amazed that there wasn't a single fan art of the most popular hero of French youth adventure fiction, Bob Morane. There's been over 200 novels, a live action and animated TV show, a couple of movies, and a very long standing series of graphic novels. So why no fan art?

Bob Morane, for those who have no knowledge of him, is a retired Commander of the French Air Force, with black hair, grey eyes, and a knack for getting into adventures. He is usually accompanied on his adventures by Bill Ballantine, a Scottish giant with a love for Zatt 77 whiskey. They manage to rumble it out and solve mysteries all over the globe (and through time and space as well), along with the reporter Sophia Paramount, Professor Clairembart, and millionaire Frank Reeves. They manage to brave natural disasters and disrupt the plans of madmen such as Mister Ming, a.k.a. The Yellow Shadow, Doctor Xhanthan, Roman Orgonetz (the man with the golden teeth), and Miss Ylang-Ylang, head of SMOG.

I only remember seing the animated show once, so TV networks are to blame for that.

But I've been reading the books for years. I believe that all of the episodes of the animated series are based on the books, and since parts tend to get discarded when they get adapted, go find the books!

Yes, they're in French, but each book is only 120 pages long and can be read in two hours.
