Description Page # 13 of my mermaid drawing guide.

This one is about how the mermiad's tail should be drawn when it's bended. Basically it means don't make your mermaid tails look like they are suits being worn around a pair of legs. Try to not make it look like they have knees or calves.

P.S. This is probably the least detailed of these past few drawings!>_< LOL

I know what you mean, mermaids with knee bends is a huge pet peeve of mine. It just doesn't look right.

This is the one thing that bothers me the most about badly-drawn mermaids: Mermaids with knees. The other issues you mention I'm willing to let slide. I might even allow that they're stylistic differences, rather than mistakes. But not tail-knees.
