This is the ninth scene in my series of illustrations for an Easter project that a co-worker at my church assigned to me. Obviously it is an allegory of the biblical easter account, but in medieval/renaissance form. This scene depicts the King(Christ) on top of the scaffold getting ready for his execution.

Note: You're probably thinking that the dark haired lady in the green outfit on the left of screen looks like a cross between Kagome and Anne Boleyn. Brace yourselves guys, alot of people dressed like Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, and Cardinal Wolsey appear in these drawings. XD LOL
