Description
Meall Meadhonach is one of the two peaks on the mountain of Suilven in Scotland's Inverpolly National Nature Reserve.I was on the other one, with Alex ([link] ) after a nights camping and a huge walk....

As I said to Alex, you two are lucky barstewards, being up on Suilven & Assynt. I was there in '71, in winter & a blizzard, but it was still amazing when the sun came up.

I feel lucky. It was too much to take in at the time, what a place and good for you getting up there, not too many do.

I was in my 20s at the time, and had been rock & mountain climbing for 5yrs. At the time I was stationed at RAF Valley, on Anglesey, with a SAR squadron. A group of us decided to do some winter training, so took a week's leave that February.

well I would correct it but it depends on your perception of the WB at the time really. I would say it was cooler, but I dont think this is unreasonable

I like "not unreasonable" it kind of has a feel of "on the edge" about it which is where I was aiming....
