The best part of this pic is... lol... the nose. The shading around it is perfect. His eyes are pretty good too, but you sure have got that nose down. ^^

Ooh. If you did this lineart by hand, how did you get rid of those stupid little white blobs you get on lines when using the wand tool? (after, see closeup of my featured deviation for prime example)

It's relatively easy in Paint Shop Pro. I convert my lineart to two color greyscale when I first begin, and it gets rid of any partially translucent areas of the ink, giving me pure, opaque black. I then convert it back to 256 colors. Voila, no white spaces when I'm done, because the magic wand tool will pick up right to the edge of the lines. Finish it up with a 2 point Gaussian Blur, and I'm good to go. In Photoshop, however, I have to finish each pic by zooming in and manually painting each tiny, white spot. Drives me crazy. That's why most of my cell-shading is done in PSP.

Lol. Gaussian blur, as in the filter? So greyscale gets rid of most silly white blob things? cool. I always end up with them. If you had over photoshop 6 you could have done it but elements does not have the function...

Elements is missing the pen tool, too. I have the full version of Photoshop, but my computer won't run it. *kicks stupid, ancient computer*

I can never resist looking at good Kenshin art, especially pics of him in his more serious Battousai days. Nice clean lines. I like his determined expression.

Mm, Kenshin. He's most definatly my most favourite bishi. Awesome work. Yet, I go with Dark-san.. did you mean for his hair shading to be like that?

Either way, if you did or not, it's still an awesome picture.

I did, actually. I was going for the light diagonally above, but screwed up a bit on the shading of the face. I might redo it eventually.

Nice work on the colouring, I quite like the way you coloured his hair. Too bad the colours don't blend together as well as they should, but that's what gives it an original effect. Keep at it!

Nice!

I really like this, honestly. The style reminds me of the one used in the Kenshin OVA's - not just the lineart, but the coloring itself.
