Wow before I start, ratings are hard to do for me but I did my best okay. Okay now let's start!
So I wanna say that you've done a good job on the impact and the tone of the pictures. It is very clear with the choice of coloring and shading that what genre, or type, this is suppose to be in. It is meant to be deep and pretty depressing really. You show that excellently with the gray background and rain falling behind it and how the shading fall on Jalkooms face making his eyes are no longer visible. You set a a good tone, that's awesome!
I hope we both can agree though that characters crying with a rainy background isn't THE most original thing in the world? What is very nifty however is the way the tears shiny, so I have to give you kudos for that!
Again, cool how the tears shiny for the matter of technique, and also Jalkoom's fur that is naturally shiny like that? I'm actually not too sure if that's how it is, it's more an assumption and your design choice and I can't complain really. It's pure eye-candy (take that as you like).
Now if I may share what I think could've been better: the first thing that comes to mind is the focus on where the light is coming from. The shading on Jalkoom is suggestion it is the light is coming downwards and the background looks like it is coming light from the top left corner. Or the light on Jalkoom might come from the tears? It is a bit unclear, and could have been made a little clearer.
And another thing that I think would've made the vision better is if the picture would have been on the vertical than horizontal way. What I mean by that is instead of dragging it out horizontally to fit with the text (who in my opinion could've had some lower opacity to fade in more) you could have given it more height and liked showed Jalkoom's chest too and maybe a tear drop falling down. And the text could've then been more cut into small pieces and been read from up to down if you understand. I just think it would've given more focus to Jalkoom and not just empty gray and rain, at least not as much since it's still nice for the mode.
I think that is all I have to say, it is a very nice pic all and all, you should feel very proud! Great job <3
