Kekkaishi is better than NARUTO.Oddly enough, it has a small fan base. It's amazing, considering that the characters, story, animation, and voice work are better.
Kekkaishi is a manga/anime about ayakashi (another variant of the typical Japanese-folklore-turned-anime-monster) and kekkaishi (the "barrier users" who defeat ayakashi to keep people safe). The story is set around two kekkaishi, Yoshimori (boy) and Tokine (girl) who protect a sacred ground that just happens to coincide with the location of their school--the consequence of this being that every night when they go to the school to protect it from ayakashi, some (and in a few episodes, just about all) of the school gets destroyed.
Throw in some nice battles, good voicework, lovely plot, and of course a handful of wonderful characters (Shishio Gen in particular) and you have Kekkaishi.
I implore anyone who has come across this show, or who stumbles across an episode in the near future, to watch the living hell out of it.
Sumimura Yoshimori and Yukimura Tokine are from Kekkaishi by Yellow Tanabe.

Kekkaishi is the best! Lol this hasn't even been commented on in forever but whatever. 2 things that stand out as weird in your drawing is the heads are slightly egg shaped and that Tokine's hair is sorta plastered onto her face.

I think I might start reading the manga. The anime ended (I hope it will be continued, but I don't know of any plans to continue it).

I only checked half of an episode to listen the voices... about the manga there are 154 translated chapters (and almost 200 in japan
