Presenting another Art Request. Today's request was made by , who wanted a pregnancy drawing of Mary Jane Watson from Spider-Man.Β Β I was hoping to get another request, based on Fallout 4, done before working on this one. But, with the release of the Marvel's Spider-Man PS4 game, something told me that now was the time to do it. Like what I did for The Expecting Invisible Woman drawing (fav.me/dcdorfx ), I did a little combing of Mary Jane Watsons for this drawing. I used the style and colors of the Spider-Man (1994 TV series), which was my first exposure to Spider-Man, and some of the shading style from the short-lived, Spider-Man Unlimited. Yes, I know that clothing is a departure from what Mary Jane normal wears in the 1994 series. I made it that way. The clothing and some of the dialogue was taken from a Spider-Man comic that told an alternate version of the clone saga in which MJ successful gave birth to her daughter, May Parker, with Peter by her side at the last minute. Gotta say, not bad, I've always liked the Spider-Man 1994 series myself, and the art style blend is not to shabby. While Peter Parker Spider-Man will always be my main favorite, May 'Mayday' Parker Spider-Girl is easily my favorite 'Legacy Hero' her trying to make good on what her Father had done in his time as a Superhero, while trying to make a name for herself as a separate Heroine all her own, it all really spoke to me, and I was just a young boy who didn't even read any of the book's aside from a TPB of her first few issue's (Getting her Power's, fighting Crazy Eight, SPIDER-VENOM!) But even though I had the smallest sampling of her, I enjoyed every last bit, over time I managed to look up on what became of her, on the one hand I enjoyed what I found, her getting a baby Brother and a 'sister' later on really was cool, even though I'm an only Child, I could still feel a connection to each of them. While I never read past those first few issue's, the whole saga they all had spoke to me in a real and relate-able way. The worry Peter and MJ had of their Daughter taking on the 'Family Business' and risking her life saving people's lives and having to just watch her do it all and not be there really spoke to me and how they handled it made me get an Idea of what it's like to be a Parent on some level, and how I should know what to do and NOT to do if I ever wound up becoming a father myself, I've never really had a father figure in my life, my dad is around and we talk, but it's not he understand's me and what I've gone through or just how different I am from him, so on that level I can relate to May in that sense, of course when I found out that it was an ALTERNATE earth it kinda annoyed me, and then One More Day happened... That REALLY made me just ONLY keep track of comics just to see what dumb idea they come out with that TRIES to one-up the failure and PAIN that Issue left me with when I heard of it (Sad to say I've had QUITE a few since then that have done towards that level.) Needless to say Spider-Man PS4 made me feel joy again. And this art piece look's nice, I wish I had the cash to request a variant of this piece with MJ having a Symbiote on her kinda like what they did for that issue of Renew your Vows where she has Venom unknowingly be worn by her, also that Design WORK'S, don't know how, but it WORK'S! So if you could pull something like that off if you are ever up to it, I wouldn't mind to be honest. And perhaps have a cutaway version of Little May inside getting a little venom into her system if you get my drift...
