Sersi is an Eternal, a race of people genetically altered from Humans to be superior in all physical traits. She is a flirtatious socializer, often found hosting or attending parties, and her expertise is matter transmutation, which she often uses to her own amusement.

Throughout the millenia, Sersi has been involved with numerous historic events, often accompanied by her long-time lover Makkari. Despite her easy-going attitude, Sersi has risen to the occasion when necessary, including sacrificing herself for the sake of all life on Earth. She has been a member of Avengers and the short-lived New Breed, and, despite all the darkness she's had to overcome, she hasn't lost her good dispositation and is still one of the Eternals' most valued members
