I couldn't tell you anything - I haven't heard from them in over 2 months unfortunately, so not at all sure.

Yes, I can only guess they are pursuing other ways to get funding. We were all starting to get really excited at the time. A lot of projects I do work for barely get off the ground, or at least take a lot longer than expected. It's always down to the huge amount of funding required for all the artists and production team. 1 million dollars would easily vanish in less than a year on a project like Heavy Gear Assault, maybe even 2 million. Staggering.

Maybe they didn't recognize the scope of the project and the funding needed?

Possibly - I think they were confident that funds would arrive but clearly they didn't. I hope the work so far won't go to waste. So many projects get dropped - it's always over lack of funds of course.

Cheers - yes, definitely some halo influence going on, it's very difficult to get away from, due to it's impact on so many artists.

All I remember about it was it looked cool when it worked, which wasn't very often.
It used to cause to computer to freeze almost every time they put it on. They would get
so frustrated

ahh yes, I remember all the problems I had with games on a PC - nightmare, always crashing and having to restart. My iMac doesn't crash ever but it's 3 times the price.

Thanks - a lot of games designers don't play them - they know how addictive they are. The same with cocaine dealers I guess, the dealers don't use it cos they know it's addictive.

I enjoy the mech's design. A bit retro in some ways, but that is probably why it's cool.

Yes, it IS retro now you say it. I am probably influenced by 80's and 90's sci fi more than I thought.
