Yes, there were only 2 of us on the team doing concepts, so a lot of things to create.

Well it all looks really good. amazing how you can paint all that up. So this game that its for, is it still in a development stage, or has it goten into some production? or is it all top secret?

It's in the development phase, but I believe they are looking for more funding at the moment - these games cost so much to make, in the millions.

I figured it would cost like that, something kind of like how much movies cost. so many people involved makeing them.

a lot different on how games used to be made. imagen that they used to do it with one guy locked in a room and he makes a game in a few weeks. But most of those games where not all that great. There is a higher standard these days. Games is an art today.

Yes, they are like movie productions now. Sometimes graphics are more important than game-play though I think, which is a shame.

yes, true. For instance Stronghold 3. Loved SH2. was exited for SH3 to come out. Was disappointed beyond belief. The time and weather change was nice, the graphics was kind of nice. but the build ability sucked ass and the combat. well should people with pitch forks be able to break through a stone wall? if they can, then its not a stronghold, what is the name of the game? Not to mention that it took forever to load and was so glitch. and they sold it for $60.00. I doubt there will be a SH4 I prefer the SH2, at least I can build a nice looking castle being to do all I want. the new one restricts you with a smaller map and all the stuff waists so much space, and you can't make thicker walls like before.

I haven't played those games but I know where you are coming from - it's as if it's more important to get the game on the store shelves than to make it really good. It is always very disappointing when a long awaited sequel is a let-down. Happens loads with movies and games. Companies seem to try really hard to create something good to start with, then become 'corporatized' and all that matters then is profit from mediocre sequels which are created with little attention paid to details.

yeah, it's like they rely on the name of the series or characters and think, well people will be dumb enough to go see it, so we can cut corners now.
So aggravating. But so far i seen. Things like Ratchet and Clank. Those games keep getting good. they get better all the time. but i think we beat the dead horse long enough. Though it can be fun doing so.

Cheers - the good old vanishing point grids help me with perspective a lot.
