What if a British SciFi Drama reboot of the Mexican Telenovela Marimar had a story arc based on Mary Shelley's Frankenstein?

For those who don't know this Mexican Telenovela: Marimar is about a rags to riches girl that seeks revenge against the family of her husband for her arrest and the murders of her grandparents. Basically its a retelling of Alexandre Dumas' The Count of Monte Cristo with a female Mexican lead.

About Frankenstein: Frankenstein or the Modern Prometheus was written in 1818 by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley and is regarded as the 1st Science Fiction novel. While the world knows the story of Victor Frankenstein and his monster made from dead body parts, it is also a story of revenge as the Monster, reviled by humanity for his appearance murders his creator's relatives, leaving Victor to hunt the creature to avenge himself.

How would I depict the idea: The storyline would be based on the novel as well as several films based on it. After she completes her revenge on Angelica and Renato Santibañez, Marimar is confronted by Captain Cusack and his militia, where she's told the truth of her family's origins, including one secret she had no idea was hidden in the basement: The body of Lord Aldama. As she's being mutilated by her enemy, a drop of her blood makes contact with Lord Aldama's body. It is this act that completes the Geis to ressurect the evil british warlord and he begins his own retribution against the British People and Marimar turns from revenge to redemption.

- Marimar would be similar to Kenneth Branagh's Victor Frankenstein in the 1994 film
- Sergio would be similar to Luke Goss as the Monster in the 2004 Hallmark miniseries.
- Angelica would be similar to Justine Moritz
- Captain Cusack would be similar to Robert De Niro as the Monster in the 1994 film.
- Lord Robert Aldama would be based on Peter Cushing as Baron Victor Frankenstein in the Frankenstein Hammer series.
- Father Porras would be similar to John Cleese as Professor Waldman in the 1994 film.
- Alistair Young would serve as the equivalent to Baron Frankenstein in the 1931 film.

Fun fact: Marimar and Kenneth Branagh's Mary Shelley's Frankenstein were both released in 1994.
