What if a British SciFi Thriller Drama reboot of the Mexican Telenovela Marimar had an episode or story structure based on Grant Morrison's Graphic Novel Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth?

For those who don't know this Mexican Telenovela: Marimar is a Mexican Telenovela about a rags to riches girl that seeks revenge against the family of her husband for her arrest and the murders of her grandparents.

About Arkham Asylum: Published in November 1989, Arkham Asylum discusses the origin of the sinister mental hospital in Gotham City, where they keep Batman's rogues gallery. Using a surrealist, heavily atmospheric sequence of symbols based on everything from the bible, the occult, Jungian and Freudian psychology, it tells of the origins of the Asylum, The rise and fall of its founder and gives us a glimpse into the psychology of Batman and his rogues' gallery.

How I would adapt it: Like the Rocksteady Batman Arkham Series, Marimar of England would have the same sinister and unsettling atmosphere to explain the dark origins of the Aldama family, Lord Aldama's impact on global affairs years ago, his lasting legacy on Britain's black market, the psychological effects on Marimar, Sergio, Angie, Renato and the others as their crusade challenges them to the limit, but crucially, the sinister manor in East Grinstead bears the exact same name as a certain town in Massachusetts and Gotham.
