For my creative writing class, I had to choose an image and write a descriptive poem about it. I had try and get my teacher to see it without actually seeing the picture. I loved this so much that it was the picture I chose.

The tone is Like dark fire and the subject matter is just creepy and yet hauntingly beautiful in a calculative way.

This reminds me a lot of the movie Mirrormask....love the choice of color...the water...the checkerboard.....absolutely lovely!

I rather like this piece, it seems more Symbolist that Surreal, but it's probably really a mix of both, so that doesn't matter necessarily. I don't care: I like it. There's a story struggling to get out of this image, and that makes it all the more appealing.
