I like the coloring and line work, but the anatomy is too long and broken. Her head looks disconnected from her shoulders, for one.

What a fun and creative take on Elektra. I love the client's idea to put her on the cover of a Black Belt Mag. I love the composition, the lighting, the character design and movement. Very cool execution indeed!

1] what graphics tablet do you use?
2] what size paper did you do this on?
3] how did you give the 3-d effect to her skin?

I use a Cintiq to do the painting in photoshop. The 3d effect is just airbrushing in photoshop. I use Blue line paper. IT lets me draw bigger. (more detail) I also draw with a 4h to start then go to a 2h for line work. Sometimes I ink if the pencils are messy. If they are clean I use them as digital inks.

the best part is i own a pair of Sai (the sword things) they were used in acient japan to plant rice. they'd stab a hole that went up to the 2 smaller blades so they'd get a perfect hole for each rice seed. if you wants to know more ask...
