Well, given that this type of hat was based on a Medieval Russian helmets, and Medieval Russia was a tributary of the Mongols...

Soviets were fucking traitors, leaving the Home Army to die in Warsaw while they waited on the other side of the Vistula.

Reeeaaaalllly now?
Should I mention the 1 MILLION rubles worth (in money then) of arms clothes, and food they provided the Polish Home Army, and how they had to deal with Polish Schlakta encouraging them to attack soviet troops?
Or how the Red Army not only COULD NOT have helped Warsaw as it was too far at the time, but also managed to thwart most of the Nazi's plan to completely demolish the city by destroying its historical buildings?
Maybe you should do fucking RESEARCH before saying stupid shit.

Traitor implies betraying one's own country. The Soviet were not traitors, they were cynically protecting their interest. The Home Army threatens their grip in Poland. Leaving them to die secures the legitimacy of their Communist puppets.

I called them traitors because they had an obligation to help them, but yes you are correct.

I doubt the Russian psyche will consider an ounce of charity to Poland after centuries of enmity since the beginning of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. They've battled to control the destiny of Eastern Europe. Try the Dmitriads and the partition of Poland.

This is a Polish soldier from 1920. After 1919 Polish army was using French Adrian helmets and German Mauser rifles.

It's a nice painting and a very dynamic pose. You could correct the errors and resubmit it to DA even if the deadline for the game is past, because it has a lot of potential and looks good in one's gallery.
The most glaring problems, as far as I can see, are the following:
a) The weapon is clearly a WW2 vintage Kar98k. The Kar98K is a rather distinctive model that existed only from 1935 onwards, and the front band on yours clearly marks it as a 1942 "Kriegsmodell", a mid war simplified version: [link]
Of course, If you really want a Mauser, here are some variants that existed during that time: [link] The top one is a 1915 Kar 98, the second one is a 1915 Kar 98a and the bottom is a Gev.98. Please note that on both carbines the upper handguard reaches past the rear sight.
You should also add a sling to it - movie rifles usually don't have slings because a lot of moviemakers don't care about getting details right and it's cheaper this way and in games the sling would be hard to animate naturally, but if you've ever tried walking more than a few hundred meters with a rifle, you'll discover the sling is the best way to carry it around - of course, the lack of sling is not necessarily an error - there were severe materiel shortages in the period, so there certainly were soldiers which ended up with weapons that didn't have slings, but the vast majority did have them.
b) The rifle itself looks flat and lifeless - you should try to "plump" it up a bit and give it a little girth and heft - especially around the bolt handle the thing looks like a cardboard cutout.
c) That's not a very good to stick someone with a bayonet. As someone who regularly practices bayonet fighting with the Kar 98k (by coincidence the front band on mine is identical to the one you drew, but mine's ex-Yugoslav late war surplus) there's absolutely no way one could comfortably lift the rifle for a strike from above and still hold it with the mechanism facing upwards. The best way to execute this type of high thrust is simply to invert the rifle, because it's not a good idea to shift your grip on the rifle from the one you have in the guard position - besides, I just tried to hold my rifle the way you depicted - it's very uncomfortable for the left hand because you're resting it on the rear sight and it makes for a very weak thrust, as the weight of your body is not behind the strike as it should - you only get whatever strength you can have from your arm muscles, and that's not a lot.
Here's what real bayonet fighting of the era looks like: [link] The first picture from the left on the second line is exactly what you need, and, as you can see, the rifle is inverted.
Also, here's the whole site, it has a lot of bayonet fighting manuals from 1805 to modern and from a lot of countries: [link]
d) The fingers on the left hand are disjointed - you've drawn very prominent knuckles, while on the last two fingers the knuckle ridge would not have been visible. I know drawing hands is very tricky, especially on a rifle, but you could always ask somebody to model for you while holding a broom wrapped in foam or fabric to make it bulkier if you don't have access to a real rifle.
e) There's no logical reason for the Bolshevik to hold his sickle like that. The only natural way that matches the position of his arm would be with the point facing the other way and the wrist rotated towards us - he took a swing from the right to left and missed.
Just try this experimentally with a friend - ask them to stand in the same way the Polish soldier is in the picture, you take the same pose as the Soviet and then, using a kitchen ladle or something similar instead of a sickle, try to hit your friend - you'll find it's impossible to do it using the arm positions you have depicted. After all, when drawing a dynamic pose, it's always best to think first what you want the movement to be like, then choose you pose and view angle to match the movement, not the other way around.
And that's about it. I hope you are not to much annoyed with my criticism, but I couldn't just sit idly by and watch something that is this promising suffer from easily fixable errors.

Probably a much simpler game. Can't tell you much, in the development it looked quite exciting even when limited to just the battle map, but maybe there are more features being added.
