From the back it looks like a bird, but maybe it's a dragon for you... Either way Janhein, I'm in Love! πππππ

another one that reminds me very much of a story by stanislav lem - "der unbesiegbare", which plays on a planet, where only the machines have survived and "live" on, killing each other, defending themselves...
the humans are eliminated by little metal flies, which are harmless as long as there are only one or two or a few - once there are many of them and they feel threatened, they build thick swarms, sort of link themselves together energetically, thus gaining a higher intelligence, surround the victim, build up a high power energy field, focus it on the brain and - knack - one flash of energy erases all thoughts and memories, leaving the human a mindless zombie, doomed to die of thirst and hunger, because he doesn't know anymore that he has to drink and eat...
hmmm, your picture looks friendlier though...

Yes, I understand what you mean. I called these fractal-creatures "frexels", and I even considered the possibility of writing an illustrated book about frexels, specially for children. Your Robi's have the same atmosphere, I gues. Finally I only created 5 frexel-pieces.Β
For me, an artwork has to tell a story, or rise questions. A nice image is not enough. You love nature, so do I. And so it's understandable that we both love organic looking fractal images. We also both love SF, and SF stories often have a surreal,Β kind of alieneating atmosphere. So my artwork has organic looking, surreal, sometimes SF-like elements.

Wow!Β If that butterfly were real, it would be one of the most delicate and lacy invertebrates around.

first off, your so very welcome.Β I can see were u want your pieces done the best possible way.Β This is for a kid that will change his taste withing 2 years tops so I dont want to spend a lot of money on a print that will be tossed aside.Β My hubby and I do framing and mounting and cut our own mats so the quality that DA has is just fine for him(the grandson) and then when he changes his taste we will just take that pic out and replace it with something else. I noticed a lot you do have prints for DA so I don't mind paying for their poor quality but personally for the grandson it is good enough.Β I know DA doesn't give a lot back for the prints bought from them but can u submit it there and if not I totally understand.Β Edie

This is the first of this catacomb-like fractal that I find rather awesome. It's kind of like O'Keefe's skull of a Cow.

Ah Ah...I have a particoular relationship with dragons! I belong to the oriental Sign of Dragon (as year of birth)...Normally I have agreement with other dragons, but who can say?!
