  "Brave as her father, and very proud. Intelligent horse, with great attention to everything! Nice horse for a ride in a calm place. Can get nervous sometimes, but rarely. A little shy, but still playful. Other than her shyness, she is really sweet and enjoys the attention she gets from the staff. She doesn't take rejection or reprimands well, sulking and being sad until you let her know you still love her." -- Previous Owner

It's been a bit of an adjustment for Coral coming from Brazil to Colorado, the first couple of weeks she seemed to be a bit despondent and depressed due to the sudden change. Over time she has gradually warmed up to the staff and often follows some of them around like a loyal puppy during barn chores. Coral is a very affectionate mare, who appreciates all the rubs and ear scratches. Despite her calm, quiet demeanor she can be quite a sneaky stinker whenever she wants to be, her favorite tactic often letting herself out of her stall or assigned paddock and wandering into other places where the grass is greener, she even fooled the ranch hands numerous times running back into her own paddock before her antics were noticed. Although the complete opposites in personality, Coral has bonded Nellie of all people and are proving to make quite the jumping team together.

She has lost some of her confidence due to the stress of moving to new places, but she is resilient and is quickly regaining it through training and experience. Coral is never one to object to new things, from trick riding to jumping, she learns and adapts to each new challenge presented before her. Coral can have bursts of skittishness and pre-show jitters but doesn't appear to be the type to bolt and act out like most horses, if anything she freezes and jitters in place anxiously until consoled. Coral is one rarely to make a fuss on her own accord, but on the rare occasion, she chooses to make a fuss and is reprimanded she is known to become very depressed and even childishly sulk in a corner until reassured. The costs of being reprimanded often outweigh the benefit of acting up in her case.

Quirks / Extra:
➢ Does not like overly sweet, sugary treats. (Prefers watermelon & carrots)
➢ HATES water with a passion, she can barely function even in the smallest of the puddles.
➢ Freezes in place when she is spooked, will not inch forward until reassured.
➢ Introverted and reserved by nature, but is learning to open up more to Nellie.
➢ Fiercely loyal and will not leave her rider's side even if they fall off.
