^_^Ume is the most favorite flowers for Japanese. It has beautiful combination of colors, such as red, light-red, pink, yellow, and white with sweet smell. It is little chilly to do Hanami party with Ume, but definitely beautiful flowers to enjoy.(record:mustlovejapan)

It's just a lovely season in the year with so many blossoms of all kinds of trees and plants. Japan is known popularly by its tradition around cherry blossoms (Sakura).
On the opposite side of Eurasia, we at Portugal have a tradition regarding almond blossoms (Amendoeiras). It's been an old tradition to ride the special trains to the north-eastern region of the country to watch almond blossoms and visit the old villages. Recently they made a new special to FundΓ£o, in the center-east region, regarding the cherry blossoms (Cerejeiras) tradition from that city.
It amazes me more a more each time I realise how similar our cultures can be in some aspects, even being so far away from each other, even if the Japanese see the sunrise and we see the sunset.
